Roth Stock Digital Media: Lee Roth Executive Biography
Producer / Photographer / Content Creator
Hollywood based producer/photographer Lee Roth has worked event coverage on the red carpet for several years covering movie premieres, awards shows, charity events and other celebrity functions.
After a four-year hiatus from Hollywood, including a 6-month stint on the red carpet in Las Vegas, news for early 2009 includes Roth's return to the Hollywood red carpet in a first camera slot for one of the leading photo agencies in the world. Yet Roth still loves traveling the Southwestern United States, with a focus on scenic, glamour and high-end portfolio work for a select clientele.
In recent years, Roth has been honored to be selected for the press corps at the entertainment industry's most prestigious events including the Academy Awards® and Primetime Emmy Awards®. Syndicated worldwide, Lee's celebrity photos frequently appear in such publications as People, In Touch, Us Weekly, In Style, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and other magazines around the globe.
On the technology and production side of things, Lee was heavily involved in many Internet “firsts” in the mid- to late-1990s. Roth was among the first class of 130 people certified by Microsoft at their Redmond, Washington campus as a Windows NetShow Media Developer. Today, Windows NetShow is referred to simply as Windows Media.
Additional firsts include; serving as the Internet producer for the first live audio/video stream from under US waters to the Net, the first live late night television talk show to go live online, the first live Internet shows from the Caribbean islands of Aruba and St. Thomas, and he served as personal WebMaster to one of Hollywood’s leading actor/comedians for more than three years with duties that included chat room host and online moderator.
Roth’s first Web site, Adventures Anywhere, went online on June 26, 1995. He has maintained an online presence and remained involved with Web production and streaming media development ever since.
Early in the new millennium, Roth was selected as the stills photographer for an independent movie. This gig awakened a love of motion picture and television production that had been teased with his earlier television and pay-per-view experience in Hollywood, and in the Caribbean.
Roth’s concept for “Glamr Quest TV” came to him in the summer of 2004, when the concept was registered with the Writers Guild of America West. The show was pitched successfully at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) conference in 2005, and Roth was told by no less than three distributors to proceed to pilot.
Personal tragedy struck within weeks after the NATPE conference, and Roth dropped everything to take care of his father in his final days. Afterwards, Roth found it difficult to return to the day-to-day frenzy of working the red carpet, and he retreated to the mountains of Colorado for some personal time off, away from big cities, crowds of people, and cranky red carpet photographers!
Now re-emerging with a complete production crew in Hollywood, Roth is in pre-production for a revised “Glamour Quest” demo reel, to be pitched for either broadcast or cable, along with a spinoff show, “Models In The Wild!” which is destined for a late-night cable audience.
For infrastructure, the Roth Stock Photo Store has been opened offering a wide variety of framed prints, giftware, greeting cards and more. Most recently, we have also opened our own syndication services so publishers may download high-resolution copies of our Celebrity Archives and Scenic Stock. Four of the five primary Roth Stock Web sites have undergone complete overhauls, with the fifth one in pre-production now for its overhaul this spring.
Today, the entrepreneurial spirit burns hot in Roth as he continues to develop commerce, sponsorship and advertising opportunities for Roth Stock Digital Media’s growing network of media properties and strategic relationships.
